چکیده

In this paper, the effect of adding gum arabic at levels 0–5%, and chromium oxide nanoparticles (Cr2O3 NPs) 0–3%, were optimized on orange peel-based films by response surface methodology. The obtained results reveal a significant increase in water vapor permeability, weight loss, tensile strength, Young's modulus film samples increasing percentage both (p < 0.05). Moreover, addition Cr2O3 NPs decreases thickness, water-solubility, L*, a*, b* indexes while elongation to breaking point. Furthermore, moisture content was decreased nanoparticles, however, increased parameter. from morphology indicated an roughness cracks as well creating smooth with arabic. Besides, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy revealed no new peak prepared samples, compared control sample. X-ray diffraction that simultaneously caused formation crystals crystallinity films. Based Thermogravimetric analysis results, thermal stability containing increased, meantime, antimicrobial properties control. Overall, those created peel including could enhance mechanical permeability samples.

Preparation and Characterization of Pullulan-Soy Protein Concentrate Biocomposite Film

The non-biodegradable nature of plastic packaging has brought about an attention in bio-basedpackaging materials. Edible composite films were prepared using soy protein concentrate (SPC) and pullulan(PUL) biopolymer at five different ratio (100:0; 70:30; 50:50; 30:70 and 0:100) with glycerol as plasticizer bycasting-evaporation method. The thickness, mechanical properties, water vapor permeabil...

Preparation and characterization of biocomposite film based on chitosan and kombucha tea as active food packaging.

An active film composed of chitosan and kombucha tea (KT) was successfully prepared using the solvent casting technique. The effect of incorporation of KT at the levels 1%-3% w/w on the physical and functional properties of chitosan film was investigated. The antimicrobial activity of chitosan/KT film against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was evaluated using agar diffusion test, an...

Characterization of nanostructured SnO2 thin film coated by Ag nanoparticles

Nanostructured SnO2 thin films were prepared using Electron Beam-Physical Vapor Deposition (EB-PVD) technique. Then Ag nanoparticles synthesized by laser-pulsed ablation were sprayed on the films. In order to form a homogenous coated of SnO2 on the glass surface, it was thermally treated at 500°C for 1 h. At this stage, the combined layer on the substrate was completely dried for 8 h in the air...
